Somewhere

Somewhere there's a tangerine
growing on a tree
somewhere there's a chimpanzee
swinging, being free
somewhere there's a millionaire
counting all his cash
somewhere there's a stoner man,
smoking lots of hash
somewhere there's a homeless man,
begging them for change
somewhere there's a vocalist,
working on her range
somewhere there's eternal fire,
burning deep inside
someday it will burn them all,
burn us all alive

I wrote this while trying out a different kind of antidepressant a while back... Pretty sure it wasn't working.

  9. The last 4 lines kinda reminds me of Burning heart or Hearts on Fire from the Rocky IV soundtrack, but they have a heart attack afterward.

  15. This feels like something Black Eyed Peas would write. I could hear it in my head just reading it back in meter.
