Change of plans

Okay.. my stay in NC hasn't been going as I planned.. It started out fine, but the other night I got a phone call telling me one of my best friends died in a car wreck.. Since then everything has kind of just been... unreal. I'm going back to SC for the funeral tomorrow and I don't know whats going to happen after that. I'll be back to normal blogging soon.. Hopefully.

A post not about games? Whaaaaaaat?

Sorry for not keeping up normal updates. I've been in a bit of an anti-social slump lately. I've still been stopping in daily and checking out all your blogs and stuff, just haven't had much to post about or say. I'll be spending some time away from home the next week or two, but i'll still be checking in as much as I possibly can! You know that feeling where you feel like you're trapped? Thats how my state of mind has been lately, so I have to get out of my house before I go insane haha.

I've also been messing around with a cool program called Guitar Rig. Guitar Rig 3 to be exact. A friend told me about it and I figured I'd give it a shot since my normal effects processor is busted. I normally play a Jackson Kelly JS30KE, pretty much the cheapest Kelly you can buy, through a Digitech RP90, one of the cheapest effects processors you can get. It's served me very well for the past year and a half, but the plastic casing is busted and a friend of mine spilled something on it so half the buttons are unusuable. My guitar still has the stock pickups but i'm hoping to replace those with some EMG's or something when I get some money together. Anyways, Guitar Rig works great if you don't have the necissary hardware to get the sound you want in physical form. It's a bit costy, and it requires a relatively high-end sound card to work properly, but if you have the right requirements it can pretty much give you any tone you want to have. Even with stock pickups it can confuse me into thinking I have a 2000+$ rig. That's a good feeling to have when you're a guitarist.

Anyways I may be gone for a while but i'll be keeping up, I promise :P

Yay, Accomplishment!

Ta-daaaaa!
I finally got around to finishing it. Honestly I teared up at the ending credits, just cause the game was over.

I've never really understood the whole argument about which is better between this and Ocarina of Time. They're both freaking amazing and should be treated as such. People just like to argue, I suppose. So in a couple of days I think I'll break out my Wii and replay Twilight Princess. I think a friend of mine has my copy of Wind Waker so that'll have to wait. I can't really remember much of what goes on in Twilight Princess.. I guess there was a lot of ridiculous crap going on in my life at that point in time and I tend to repress memories subconsciously, so maybe some TP memories got caught up in the repressing. Nothing replaying it can't fix :P

Where did time go?

Hello Universe. So here's the story... I've still been playing Majora's Mask, though not as much as at first. I still plan to finish it ASAP.

However, this morning I decided to see what Minecraft is all about. Six hours later and I realize the game is F***ING AWESOME, but for reasons I can't put words to. There's just something so unexplainably addictive about building stuff and avoiding zombies, etc. This is one of the few things that has been extremely hyped up that I can actually enjoy. Usually when something has so much hype behind it, I'll try it out and just not get it. But I get it this time, internet. Oh yes, I get it.

Pickleman Guitar Solo? Oh snap

Thanks to Google Images, I found the original pickle image I used in the first Pickleman pic I posted a while back. And thanks to that, me having a crap load of free time and lacking a life, and Photoshop...

Tadaaaaaa!!

My Photoshop skills suck horribly, but I think it adds to the hilarity. It may suck but I'm proud of it :P
Enjoy the shreddage. Peace

F***ing depression, how does it work?

Hello universe. I haven't been posting the past few days and for that I'm sorry. Just been going through a bit of a mental conundrum. Anyone know a decent place to meet girls? I'm 19 and have NO idea where to go to find girls who aren't psychopaths. This whole being single thing is starting to drive me insane.

Annnnnnnyways besides my sad existence, I've still been playing Majora's Mask. I'm in Ikana Canyon now, so getting pretty close to the end. Here are some more lulzy screencaps. They really don't say his name much, and when they do its usually not something funny. But I'm looking sharp for when they do appear!

I'm not really sure why these two made me laugh.

"Why yes, mr. glowy seahorse. They do have strange powers."

Glee

WHY IS THIS SHOW SO DAMN POPULAR?!?!? I watched 5 minutes of it and I'm pretty sure half my braincells are gone. Crap like this is so popular, but Heroes is cancelled? What the hell, america. What the hell.

Dear Glee,
I hate you and I hope you die.

Update

Not much has happened these past 2 days. I'm still a little sore but it's nowhere near as bad as it was. I've just been chillin and playing Majora's Mask. I'm currently about to enter the Snowhead Temple.

For the record I'm using Project 64 version 1.6, because it's the best emulator I can find for N64. I still have my N64 and my cartridge copy of Majora's Mask, but one of the cables to connect it to the TV is messed up and I'm too lazy to find a new one. Anyways, for some giggles every now and then I decided to name Link "Balls" and screencap some funny instances in which the name appears.

So far this is the only one that made me lol. I'm about to play some more so I'll leave you with this and hopefully I'll have more to show soon. Peace.

Party On

First off I apologize for not posting anything yesterday. I had a massive workout and ended up getting messed up with some friends of mine. I'm sore and tired today so I'll be chillin and playing some Zelda most of the day. Thanks to all of your suggestions for old school games by the way. I'm definetely going to be playing a lot of them after i'm done with Zelda. By the way, I've got to give an internet brofist to Ishu who mentioned Chrono Cross. I had completely forgotten about the pure epicness of that game (I have no idea how, I've based my entire life's philosophy on that game). So i'll definitely be replaying that piece of epic very soon. I wish I had more to report but I feel like i've been beaten with a flail so I'll leave you with this epic Zelda wallpaper.

Old School Games are F***ing Awesome

So here's the deal; I have no girlfriend, all my friends are busy, no car, and even if i did i live too far from anything for it to be enjoyable, so i've decided i'm going to replay through some old school games again. So far i've played through The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time. It was my first time playing all the way through it without cheating since i was like 10. I'm about to begin Majora's Mask, and after that i'm a complete blank. Anyone know of some other good old school games? I have access to play anything pre-ps2.

P.S. What happened to newer games!? They're all about guns and zombies. It was fun at first but come on, they're bleeding the concept dry.

A couple old screencaps of mine, for the lulz

First one is from Google. I was having some problems with my computer at the time and was looking up how to access something (can't remember what), and this popped up. I wonder who was searching this?

Second is from an AIM conversation I was having with my gf of the time (now my ex). She later called me and was 100% convinced that I actually did. Red is me, Blue is her.
I'm a dick sometimes.
EDIT: No, I didn't actually do it. I just liked messing with her head ^_^

PICKLEMAN

So, I was looking through some really old pictures of mine and I came across this. This is something I did out of complete boredom when I was first experimenting with Photoshop. Even now it makes me giggle XD

How to keep your computer from sucking

I always, and i mean always, hear people talking about how their computer is so slooooooooooowwww. It gets irritating so i figured I'd write this up. My computer is no God Tier 1337 Lamborghini or anything, but i keep it running pretty well. Here are some tools and stuff i use to keep it running in top shape.

Piriform CCleaner: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
This basically cleans out stuff you don't need. Internet cache, cookies, etc. It also cleans up registry errors which actually had a MASSIVE impact on how quickly my computer ran. I had about 600 errors the first time I ran it, and once I cleared those up I swear it doubled in speed. That's just my case, however.

Piriform Defraggler: http://www.piriform.com/defraggler
From the makers of CCleaner, this one is a defragging tool (in case you couldn't guess XD). It's much more in depth and a hell of a lot faster than the default windows defrag. When you run it, if you click Analyze, then go into the file list tab and select everything it found, you can click defrag selected and it will only work on the fragmented files. That way you don't have to do a full drive defrag every bloody time.

Spybot - Search and Destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html
This one is a pretty powerful antivirus. Normally CCleaner and Defraggler keep me running full speed, but if my computer is bogging down for no apparent reason I usually assume it's a virus. that's where Spybot comes in. It's pretty easy to figure out, scan, get rid of the viruses, move on to being a happy bunny.
(\(\
(^-^)
c(")(") (sorry, couldn't help it)

And last but not least, actually this is probably the most important thing, DON'T USE INTERNET EXPLORER!! Not only is it much slower than other browsers, but it also has been known to have massive security issues and lets viruses just prance into your computer like a squirrel on speed. The only time I ever use Internet Explorer is when I need an update from the windows update website, and even then it's because Microsoft doesn't allow it to work with anything else. (bastards...)

Well there you have it. I'm no professional but this is what works for me. Oh, and by the way, these are all completely FREE! 'Cause being a cheap bastard is fun sometimes..
Anyways i'm off to beat up a homeless guy and burn his box down. Cheers!

Somewhere

Somewhere there's a tangerine
growing on a tree
somewhere there's a chimpanzee
swinging, being free
somewhere there's a millionaire
counting all his cash
somewhere there's a stoner man,
smoking lots of hash
somewhere there's a homeless man,
begging them for change
somewhere there's a vocalist,
working on her range
somewhere there's eternal fire,
burning deep inside
someday it will burn them all,
burn us all alive

I wrote this while trying out a different kind of antidepressant a while back... Pretty sure it wasn't working.
